Alconza has once more been selected to receive financial support through the Basque Government’s HAZITEK programme. These grants, aimed at encouraging industrial research and experimental development, will allow the company to advance in new technological initiatives aligned with its strategy of innovation and the evolution towards more efficient and sustainable electric propulsion solutions.
HAZITEK: driving innovation in the Basque Country
The HAZITEK programme aims to reinforce the innovative capacity of Basque businesses through grants for industrial research and experimental development projects. Co-financed by the Basque Government and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the programme supports companies that develop state-of-the-art technology with potential to transform different industrial sectors.
Alconza’s new projects subsidised under HAZITEK
Thanks to these grants, Alconza will be able to run two new projects focused on improving the performance and efficiency of electric propulsion solutions in the naval sector:
REHUSOM Project – Reduction of noise and vibrations in maritime electric machines
REHUSOM is oriented at developing technology that makes it possible to reduce noise and vibrations in a new generation of electric machinery intended for marine applications. The project is based on the creation and experimental validation of an advanced NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness) analysis method, that will enable us to define design criteria and manufacture techniques to develop quieter and more efficient equipment suited to the requirements of marine environments.
MOTEF Project – A new generation of permanent magnet motors for naval propulsion
The MOTEF project focuses on the development of a new range of permanent magnet motors intended for applications in the electrified maritime sector. This equipment incorporates low switching frequencies and variable voltage values, while remaining small and lightweight. With this development, Alconza seeks to improve the energy efficiency and performance of electric propulsion systems in vessels.
