Alconza, a leading company in the manufacture of electrical generators and motors, has once more been selected to receive financial support through the Basque Government’s HAZITEK programme. These subsidies, intended to promote business research and development, will enable the company to move forward in key initiatives within its innovation strategy.
HAZITEK: Driving innovation in the Basque Country
The HAZITEK programme provides non-repayable grants to promote industrial research and experimental development in Basque companies. Co-financed by the Basque Government and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), this programme distinguishes between strategic and competitive projects, providing support to companies that seek to lead the technological transformation.
Alconza’s projects subsidised under HAZITEK
Thanks to the renewal of these grants, Alconza will be able to continue with two innovative projects:
Project no. ZL-2024/00208 – ADPROM – High density electric motors for marine propulsion
ADPROM’s goal is to design and develop a new generation of electric motors with a high power density and optimised efficiency for marine applications. This breakthrough seeks to significantly reduce the weight of these motors, a defining factor in improving the performance and sustainability of the naval sector.
Project: no. ZL-2024/00694 – PRESCOR – Superconductor-based propulsion with hydrogen cooling
PRESCOR, a continuation of the PRELUDE project, focuses on researching electric propulsion systems for air transport, using hydrogen as a coolant. This approach makes use of hydrogen’s potential as an energy vector, contributing to the development of more efficient and sustainable solutions in the field of electric mobility.
With these new grants, Alconza reinforces its commitment to innovation and sustainability, and is consolidated as a key player in the development of state-of-the-art technology for electric propulsion in different industrial sectors.
