Alconza’s SAT team is proud to have successfully performed the five-year scheduled maintenance of the generators and motors on board the Maersk Minder in Denmark. During this technical assistance, extensive analysis was conducted on five QDV 560 S-8FW positioning motors, two QD 710 S-8 FW motors and five NIR 7194 A-10LW and NIR5661 A-8LW generators.
This scheduled maintenance carried out every 5 years is essential for the optimum performance and reliability of our equipment in demanding marine environments. We acknowledge the importance of investing in adequate maintenance to ensure productivity and safety at sea.
During the maintenance routine, we undertook vibration, insulation and other relevant parameter analyses. We identified and replaced some key consumables and spare parts in order to guarantee the proper functioning and prolong the operating life of the machines through a predictive and preventive maintenance approach.
