Shuttle tanker built in 1998, by the former Izar Construcciones Navales in Sestao, stands out for its 265 meters long and 43 meters wide. This project was for Alconza one of the most complex during the 90’s due to the regulations for this type of vessels, as well as the volume of motors and generators supplied.

The vessel has a high capacity for loading and transporting crude oil. This type of vessel has a bow loading system, as well as a complex dynamic positioning system, with which it manages to maintain its position with a very low deviation margin, even in adverse weather conditions.

Teekay Shuttle Tanker delivered by end of 2020 by the Korean shipyard, Samsung. It is powered by a hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system, which means it can navigate for half an hour without any gas emissions.
