OFFSHORE

Viking Neptun

Designed by Salt Ship Design and built by Kleven Shipyard in Norway. It was delivered to its owner, Eidesvik in 2015. It is intended for undersea construction, operating in the North Sea, and it is noteworthy for its dp3 category, which ensures its positioning even in the event that part of its propulsion system is lost.

Supply range

  • 6 x 3.700 kVA, 690 vac, 60 Hz main generators
  • 4 x propulsion engines of 3.000 kw 690 vac each.
  • 3 x 2.200 kW 690 vac engines for the transverse stern thrusters
  • 2 x 2.200 kW 690 vac motors for the bow transverse propellers
  • 2 x 2.000 kW 690 vac engines for the azimuthal propellers

It is equipped with 2 shaft lines powered by variable pitch propellers, each of them driven by 2 engines in twin configuration.

Thanks to this system, the vessel counts with a high redundancy, being able to select from 1 to 4 propulsion engines, according to its needs, thus increasing the efficiency of the system.
